List of some
fun learning activities we do
Painting, sculpting, dancing, making music, and all the other artistic pursuits have benefits that go far beyond pure enjoyment or cultural creation — these activities can also strengthen your brain and improve your mood.
When kids are active, their brain develops, allowing for new types of activity. Frequent exercise decreases symptoms of depression and anxiety in children. Regular exercise with children promotes self-efficacy with regard to health and self-image.
Interactive learning is a hands-on approach to help children become more engaged and retain more information. With or without a form of technology, interactive learning helps children strengthen problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Mini Action Hockey
Hockey is fantastic exercise. Hockey requires a high level of coordination; regularly playing can develop a child’s gross motor skills, which leads to improvement with the more difficult fine motor skills, and improves eye-hand coordination, which can translate to a better understanding of spatial relationships.
The activities in which children and youth engage while outside of school hours are critical to their development, highlighting the need for quality afterschool programs in all communities. Our aftercare program includes homework assistance, annual youth camp and holiday care.
